Microphone plays an indispensable role in this kind of devices. Due to extremely limited product size, the MEMS microphone is a key component that determines the call quality.
Its main functions include talking, ANC (Active noise reduction), and ENC ( Environmental noise cancellation)
The ANC function enables the speaker to generate reverse sound waves of external noise. The reverse sound wave will eliminate external noise. Therefore, users can get pure music and clear call quality. ANC function has two modes, Feedforward and Feedback. Feedforward is to receive external noise, and Feedback is receive the effect of noise cancellation. The two modes have different requirements for microphone functions.
The ENC function performs sound processing techniques on the signal captured by the near-end microphone so that the far-end user will not receive any background noise from the near-end side.
